Amitabh Bachchan 'works from home' at Goodbye trailer launch, has the most unexpected response as Sunil Grover seeks virtual blessings

The trailer of Rashmika Mandanna and Amitabh Bachchan starrer Goodbye is stirring many emotions on social media. The family drama about losing a loved one has managed to beautifully strike a chord with the audience as the characters go through their own journeys of dealing with the loss.

The mood at the trailer launch of Goodbye, however, was starkly different as Amitabh Bachchan joined the event virtually and shared a fun moment with actor Sunil Grover who was present on stage.

In a video going viral, Sunil seeks virtual blessing of the mega star but the audience couldn’t stop laughing at how Big B reacted to the same. Amitabh Bachchan joined the trailer launch of Goodbye from home and can be seen on a screen beside the stage. Sunil walked over and bent down in an action of touching Amitabh’s feet but the Bollywood superstar reciprocated by laughing and mimicking Sunil’s actions to seek his blessings in turn.

The two continued repeating their actions for a while till Amitabh said, “Chodneinge nahi hum aapko” leaving the audience in splits.

Goodbye stars Amitabh Bachchan, Rashmika Mandanna, Sunil Grover and Neena Gupta in key roles and is headed for a theatrical release in October. The film sees Amitabh play a father whose children react unexpectedly to the death of their mother and how it sets off a series of confrontations about the family.

Despite the subject dealing with loss, Goodbye trailer has its lighter moments apart from the dramatic and emotional ones which elevates storytelling.

The movie marks Rashmika’s debut in Hindi films after already having delivered blockbusters in Kannada and Telugu space.

Goodbye arrives in cinemas on October 7.
