    Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda has bagged another project much before the release of his debut film, The Archies. He has teamed up with the National Award-winning director Sriram Raghavan for a war drama, Ikkis, based on the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, PVC. The cherry on the cake is megastar Dharmendra joining Agastya in the upcoming movie.

    The announcement of the movie was made on the occasion of megastar Dharmendra’s 87th birthday on December 8. Sharing the news on Twitter, trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote, “DHARMENDRA - AGASTYA NANDA TO STAR IN SRIRAM RAGHAVAN - DINESH VIJAN’S ‘IKKIS’… Post #Badlapur, #NationalAward winning director #SriramRaghavan teams up with #DineshVijan for #Ikkis… Stars #Dharmendra and #AgastyaNanda [grandson of #AmitabhBachchan].”

    As soon as the announcement was made, Twitterati chimed in on the micro-blogging site and shared their reactions. While one of the users wrote, “What a start to #agastyaNanda career with a war film that to under production house like @MaddockFilms, director like sriram raghavan & legendary @aapkadharam ji. ” Another wrote, “Inka sahi hai. Bina kucch karaye, audition diye itna bada role mil jata hai.(This is very convenient, without doing anything they get big roles). “Would've waited for his debut film to atleast release. Now everyone's gonna just talk about nepotism cause he hasn't proved himself and gotten 2 films,” added the user.

    Earlier, Varun Dhawan was considered for the role of Arun Khetarpal, but he opted out of the movie. A section of people was disappointed with his exit from Ikkis. “@Varun_dvn you shouldn’t have let this go,” wrote one of the social media users. Another added, “I am not at all happy this was supposed to be the most anticipated movie of Varun he really shouldn't have left this.” “Varun left this film for age favor, shouldn't have let it go” stated one of them.

    Meanwhile, Agastya is all set to make his debut with Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies. The film also marks the debut of Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan and Boney Kapoor’s younger daughter Khushi Kapoor. Based on the American comics of the same name, the film is set for OTT release on Netflix in 2023.
