Ektaa R Kapoor slams Thank You For Coming haters who insisted her not to make pornographic films

Film producer Ektaa R Kapoor has always made headlines for her fiery and feisty personality. She has always portrayed her script in a daring manner, which some people love, while others dislike and detest. But Ekta has never let these obstacles become a source of weakness for her and has always addressed them with confidence. 

Recently, Ektaa has been criticized for her film Thank You For Coming, which is a sex comedy. Being a film which includes a lot of sensual and erotic scenes, it has received a lot of criticism from people who find it awful and uncomfortable to watch. In response to multiple negative comments, Ekta said that she is an adult and will never stop making adult films.

She defended her work by saying,“#ThankYouForComimg is a little mad movie made by mad crazy partner Rhea that doesn’t smash patriarchy but tickles with feathers under its nose so all the bulls hit gets sneezed out !! There is only mad love for d film or unpalpable anger !!!”

It all started when Amit Bhatia, a journalist of ABP News commented that the movie was ‘disappointing’ to which Ektaa reacted by saying, “The amount of noise #thankyouforcoming is making :) freedom cannot be decided n accuracy toh aap chodd hi dijiye!!! :) one a positive note this review made me smile :) polarised content is Wat is d need of the hour.”

Thank You For Coming is a sex comedy film about a girl who has a string of failed romances and ends up seeking an arranged marriage. The film stars Bhumi Pednekar, Shehnaaz Gill, Dolly Singh, Kusha Kapila, and Shibani Bedi, which was written by Radhika Anand and Prashasti Singh. Directed by Karan Boolani and jointly produced by Rhea Kapoor and Ektaa, the film was released on October 6, 2023, in theatres. The film opened to a poor start at the box office with Rs 1.06 crore.The total collection so far stands at Rs 4 crore as per reports. It was released alongside Akshay Kumar starrer Mission Raniganj.
