'My mother should get justice' : Sonali Phogat's daughter demands investigation amidst reports of the late politician's alleged murder

Actress-politician Sonali Phogat ’s untimely demise sent shockwaves across the nation and things took an even more shocking turn after signs of foul play were revealed in her post-mortem. Reportedly, the post-mortem revealed multiple blunt force injuries on Sonali’s body which sparked suspicion regarding her death. Now in a recent video that has been going viral on social media, Phogat’s 15-year-old daughter Yashodhara can be seen asking for justice for her mother’s tragic demise.

Talking about the same, the video shows a teary-eyed Yashodhara saying that her mother Sonali Phogat should get justice and a proper investigation of her death should be done. The late actress-politician’s daughter goes on to say that the culprits of her mother should be punished. Take a look at the video.

Sonali Phogat passed away on August 23 in Anjuna, Goa and while initially her death was ruled out as a heart attack, the post-mortem report told an entirely different story. The medical authorities who conducted the post-mortem at the Goa Medical College reserved the cause of her death. Their statement read, “The cause of death to the best of our knowledge and belief is reserved pending chemical analysis, histopathology, and serological reports of the tissues preserved. However, there are multiple blunt force injuries over the body. In view of the above, the manner of death is for the investigating officer to ascertain."

Reportedly, the police authorities have booked Sonali Phogat’s close aides and have placed them under detention. This includes her personal assistant and a friend. The statement of Anjuna PI Prashal Dessai stated, “We have booked Phogat’s PA Sudhir Sangwan and her friend Sukhwinder in connection with the murder.”

Sonali Phogat’s sister had claimed that the actress was feeling unwell after eating her meal and immediately suspected that something was wrong. Goa DGP Jaspal Singh had said Sonali had gone to Curlies, a beach shack at Arjuna, where she complained about easiness and later she came to the hotel. However, the National Commission for Women had taken cognizance of the matter and had set up a two-member fact-finding team.
