'Other Bollywood people are hypocrites': Netizens hail Kangana Ranaut's take on same-sex marriage

Kangana Ranaut always has opinions over issues of national interest, unlike other Bollywood celebrities as often observed by netizens. Recently, when the actress came out in support of the same-sex marriage in India, the people on social media hailed her take and called other Bollywood people ‘hypocrites’.

The Manikarnika actress recently spoke to reporters during her recent visit to Haridwar. On being asked about her thoughts on same-sex marriage, she replied, “Jo shaadi hoti hai, woh dil ke rishte hote hai, ye sab hi jante hai. Jab logo ke dil mil gaye hai, baaki kuch logo ki jo preference hai, usme hum kya bol sakte hai (Marriage is a matter of the heart, and everyone knows that. When hearts have met, what can we say about people's preferences)?”

Soon after the video surfaced, the netizens took no time to shower praises on Kangana. One of the users wrote, “Thank you so much Kangana for taking this stand. It means the world to us.” Another stated, “Good thinking” One of the users hailed her saying, “ A liberal in a true sense, other Bollywood people are hypocrites.” “Her thoughts are always clear,” added another.

Besides this, Kangana also reacted to death threats against superstar Salman Khan. She said, ““We are actors. Salman Khan has been provided with security by the Centre. He is getting protection from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, then there is nothing to fear. When I was threatened, I was also given security by the government, today the country is in safe hands. We have nothing to worry about.” For the unversed, Salman has been receiving threatening emails from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's gang over his blackbuck case.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Kangana will next be seen in Tejas. She has also completed the shooting of her upcoming two films–Emergency and Chandramukhi 2.
