    Actor Richa Chadha reminisced about her maiden appearance at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival for the screening of her Masaan . The actress hopes to be part of the prestigious film festival soon, this time with the film produced by her.

    Taking to Instagram, the Fukrey actress shared a series of memorable photos from her Cannes diaries. She said that it always feels different when you attend the ‘largest fashion event in the world’ to showcase your film. The photos feature Richa with her team and crew of Masaan including Vicky Kaushal and Shweta Tripathi. One of the photos shows the actress with the team of her movie, Gangs of Wasseypur.

    The 35-year-old actress also added a video wherein she can be seen getting emotional after the movie got a standing ovation at its screening. In the caption, she wrote, “Throwback to Masaan at Cannes! The largest fashion event in the world does feel different when you go with a film ❣️Hope to be there soon with a film that we produce this time. P.S- The last video is me crying during a 5 minute standing ovation for Masaan.”

    For the unversed, Masaan is a critically acclaimed drama directed by Neeraj Ghaywan starring Richa Chadha and Vicky Kaushal in the lead roles. The film was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival winning two awards.

    To note, Richa owns a production house, Pushing Buttons Studios, in partnership with her boyfriend and actor Ali Fazal . They announced their first film of the production house, Girls Will Be Girls back in 2021.

    Meanwhile, Richa recently made headlines for defending the public reaction to Kangana Ranaut’s Dhaakad failure at the box office. The much-anticipated action thriller, which was made with a budget of nearly Rs 100 crore, has been struggling to even cross the Rs 2 crore mark at the box office, and this failure is being celebrated by many on social media.

    On the work front, Richa has last seen in the web series, The Great Indian Murder. She is currently busy shooting for Fukrey 3 , the third installment of the hit franchise Fukrey.
