It is not a hidden fact that Kangana Ranaut ’s Dhaakad is failing to create magic at the box office due to which some sections of the population started allegedly trolling the actress. While political analyst Tehseen Poonawala who was a contestant on Kangana’s show Lock Upp called out the trollers, actress Richa Chaddha rather had a difference of opinion. Richa stated that people are expressing dissent in whichever way they can on the whole matter.

Tehseen Poonawala defended Kangana Ranaut by stating, “The trolling of #KanganaRanaut for her movie #Dhaakad is extremely unfair! We may agree or disagree with #KanganaRanaut but cannot take away from the fact she is one of the best actors in cinema today and a risk-taker. More power to you #KanganaRanaut.”

On this, Richa Chaddha replied to him by stating, “Aligning with power is easy and has obvious rewards like tax exemptions, awards, special status, security-even literally the Legislature promoting a film! So do you not know that the reverse also holds true Tehseen? Ppl are expressing dissent in whatever way they can. So chill.”

However, Tehseen Poonawala replied to the Fukrey actress on the scenario by saying, “I am extremely chilled. I haven’t seen her movie despite #KanganaRanaut being kind enough to invite me. I would stand up for the movie business. No flops should be cheered period because it hurts the industry. If the government does wrong, doesn’t mean we should as well.” On this, Richa Chaddha’s tweet read, “Very systematically, a narrative was built that the film industry in Mumbai is the den of all vice. People here are murderous etc. Many people participated in this narrative building. Now some others celebrating other ppl’s downfalls is an unfortunate consequence of that.” Take a look at her tweet.

For the unversed, Richa Chaddha and Kangana Ranaut were seen together in the 2020 movie Panga. Talking about Dhaakad, reportedly the movie has managed to garner only Rs 3 crore in totality. It has been helmed by Razneesh Ghai and also stars Arjun Rampal and Divya Dutta in pivotal roles.
