The shooting for Tamil star Sivakarthikeyan's upcoming movie Amaran wrapped up on Saturday. Tamil superstar Kamal Haasan's production banner, Raaj Kamal Films International, unveiled a special video commemorating the end of this long and ambitious production.

In the video, Sivakarthikeyan can be seen in full military attire, armed with a rifle and flanked by director Rajkumar Periasamy and stunt duo Anbumani and Arivumani. “DAY IS DONE”… the final frame and it's time for the gun salute…," read the caption.

Amaran is expected to redefine Sivakarthikeyan's onscreen image and elevate his stardom to another level. Sivakarthikeyan has shown significant commitment to his character, Major Mukund Varadarajan.

Sivakarthikeyan underwent special training to prepare for the role of a soldier working in high-security risk areas. He also achieved a significant physical transformation, which was revealed in a promo video along with the film's title. Additionally, he underwent arms training to handle various types of guns.

Amaran is inspired by the life of slain Indian soldier Major Mukund Varadarajan. Director Rajkumar Periasamy was initially approached to make a movie based on a non-fictional book chronicling some of the most daring operations conducted by the Indian army. However, Rajkumar's journey to learn more about Major Mukund Varadarajan's life took him in a different direction and shaped the narrative. Major Mukund Varadarajan was killed during an anti-terror operation in Kashmir.

The teaser for Amaran, released earlier, promises a nail-biting action drama with a heavy dose of patriotism.

To commemorate the completion of the production, Sivakarthikeyan served biriyani to the entire cast and crew on Friday.

Amaran also stars Sai Pallavi, Bhuvan Arora, Rahul Bose, Lallu, and Hanun Bawra, among others. The movie is expected to hit screens worldwide in September this year.
