    RRR star Jr NTR had recently interacted with media at the Golden Globes awards but it was his fresh accent that grabbed the major attention. Excitedly, he spoke about the big win of his song Naatu Naatu from SS Rajamouli's directorial RRR. He also expressed his desire of working in a Marvel movie. However, it was his accent that netizens trolled brutally as the video surfaced on the internet.

    In the video, Jr NTR was heard saying, “We thought, taking Rajamouli's track record into consideration, we definitely thought we had a winner. But this was something more than a winner in Japan and today, America… come on, you don't expect this to happen.” Soon after one of the social media users wrote, “When an American comes to India, he isn't picking up Indian accent to talk to us. We figure it out, don’t we? Why do we need to put up an accent for them?” Another user poked fun saying, “NTR unleashing his inner Anil Kapoor.”

    It was actor Gulshan Devaiah from the entertainment who defended Jr NTR’s accent. Taking to Twitter, he said that the actor is not as bad as people are perceiving it. If he trying to break through the Hollywood market, it would gain all Indians. “I think NTR’s accent is firstly not as bad as people are making it out to be, secondly it’s a calculated PR strategy. Take it easy..let him try to spread his wings & fly. It’s good for Indian cinema if he breaks through the Hollywood global market. We all stand to gain from it, “ he tweeted,

    Meanwhile, the team of RRR had a big night as the movie was nominated for two Golden Globe awards. It had been nominated in the Best Film and Best Song categories. Music composer MM Keeravani received the award for the Naatu Naatu song. While the team of RRR lost in the Best Non-English Language Film category to Argentina 1985.
