Ae Watan Mere Watan on OTT: Sara Ali Khan's patriotic period drama to stream on THIS date

Sara Ali Khan’s biographical period drama Ae Watan Mere Watan has finally gotten a release date. The movie is based on the life of freedom fighter Usha Mehta. It has been produced by Karan Johar and directed by Kannan Iyer.

The movie will be released on the OTT streaming platform Amazon Prime Video. In the latest video, the release date has been revealed to be March 21, 2024. The video has Sara as Usha Mehta in a white ensemble, braided hairdo with a bindi sporting a pensive expression on her face. She can be seen greeting her listeners from what she calls ‘Desh Ka Radio.’ She says that all the Indians have to gear up for the last fight of India’s Independence against British rule. Her parting words on the radio are, “Yeh Hain Desh Ka Radio, 42.34 meters Par. Hindustan Pe Kahin Se, Kahin Pe Hindustan.” Take a look at the same.

She captioned the same stating, “Desh ki kahaani, Usha ki zubaani World Radio Day par! #AeWatanMereWatanOnPrime, Mar 21 only on @primevideoin.” One of the fans wrote, “Superb excited can't wait to see u sara in this movie...and i dammm sureee u just wowww in this movie and kill with ur amazing performance I love u saruuu.” A netizen added, “Well done girl. Look is great.” Another user said, “Usha Mehta is finally here.” A fan furthermore said, “Patriotism ek jazbaat hai.”

Ae Watan Mere Watan’s synopsis reads, ‘Inspired by real-life events, Ae Watan Mere Watan, is directed by Kannan Iyer and is written by Darab Farooqui and Iyer. The film stars Sara Ali Khan in the lead, and features Sachin Khedekar, Abhay Verma, Sparsh Shrivastav, Alexx O' Neil, and Anand Tiwari in pivotal roles alongside a special guest appearance by Emraan Hashmi.’ Apart from this, Sara has movies like Murder Mubarak and Metro In Dino in the pipeline.
