Ranbir Kapoor and Bobby Deol starrer Animal is set to unleash its wild tale in theatres on December 1. While the audience are eagerly anticipating its theatrical release, the OTT premiere details of the film are also out. According to reports, the OTT version is expected to be 30 minutes longer than the original runtime, which is 3 hours and 21 minutes. Also, the film is set to stream on Netflix, however, there is no official confirmation on the same.

The OTT premiere of Animal is expected to take place after 6 to 8 weeks of theatrical run. As per the report from Smart Prix, the film is expected to stream on Netflix. The film was recently granted an ‘A’ certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). Talking about the lengthy runtime of the film, Ranbir Kapoor said the storyline required this amount of time to reach the audience. “We saw the first cut that was 3 hours and 49 mins and we were entertained. Don't be panicked by the length and just come experience cinema at its best,” he told India Today.

Also, the makers had earlier planned to release the longer version in theatres with two intervals as per reports. However, a few scenes were edited to cut short the film considering it to be a risky move. Well, the film explores the intricate father-son relationship between Ranbir Kapoor and Anil Kapoor. Bobby Deol plays the antagonist, while Rashmika Mandanna plays Ranbir’s wife in the film. Besides them, the film also has Shakti Kapoor, Prem Chopra and Triptii Dimri in pivotal roles.

Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Animal marks his second outing in Hindi cinema after Kabir Singh. He made his debut with Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey starrer Arjun Reddy in Telugu cinema. Backed by T-series, Bhadrakali Pictures and Cine1 Studios, the film is set to witness a clash with Vicky Kaushal starrer Sam Bahadur at the box office. So far, the film has earned Rs 14 crore from advance bookings as of Tuesday. According to trade experts, the film is expected to rake in Rs 95 crore on opening worldwide collection.
