Dunki Drop 3: Shah Rukh Khan pens a heartwarming note as he shares emotional track Nikle The Hum Kabhi Ghar Se; watch

Shah Rukh Khan on Friday shared the second song from his upcoming film Dunki. Crroned by Sonu Nigam, the emotional track Nikle The Kabhi Hum Ghar Se delves into the deep pain while longing to return to one’s homeland. Penned by lyricist Javed Akhtar and music by Pritam, the song perfectly fits into this saga of friendships, borders and nostalgia for home.

Taking to Twitter, Shah Rukh penned a heartfelt note in Hindi while sharing his ‘favourite’ song from Dunki. “Aaj aise hi dil mein aaya yeh gaana toh aapke saath share kar raha hoon…Raju aur Sonu naam se hi lagte hain ke apne hi koi honge. Aur yeh gaana joh dono ne banaya hai, yeh bhi apnon ka hai. Apne ghar waalon ki yaadon ka hai…apni mitti ka hai…apne desh ki baahon mein sukoon milne ka hai. Hum sab kabhi na kabhi apne ghar se…gaon se…shehar se door nikal jaate hain…zindagi banane ke liye…lekin dil hamaara apne gharon mein hi rehta hai…desh mein hi rehta hai. Mera favourite from Dunki….,” he wrote.

Reacting to the song, a netizen wrote, “Too much Emotional,” another commented, “This song pierces through the heart. Every emotion is felt.” A fan wrote, “Rula diya gaane ne Shah Sir...Kitni khubsurati se likha hain aapne..padh k aur rona aa gaya…” Meanwhile, the makers shared the song on YouTube with a caption that read, “The terrible sense of longing to return to one’s homeland never goes away. Witness Hardy, Manu, Buggu, and Balli’s dream to see their home and loved ones come true in the song #NikleTheKabhiHumGharSe.”

Earlier, Shah Rukh shared the first song Lutt Putt Gaya, a romantic song from the film. Before that, he dropped the teaser on Instagram and wrote, “A story of simple and real people trying to fulfill their dreams and desires. Of friendship, love, and being together… Of being in a relationship called Home!

A heartwarming story by a heartwarming storyteller. It’s an honour to be a part of this journey and I hope you all come along with us. The #DunkiDrop1 is here…” Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the film also has Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal in pivotal roles. The film is set to hit theatres on December 22, 2023.
