'Resemblance is on point': Kangana Ranaut gets netizens' thumbs up for roping in Satish Kaushik as Jagjivan Ram in Emergency

Kangana Ranaut has introduced yet another character from her upcoming film, Emergency . And it is of late Defence Minister, Jagjivan Ram, also known as Babuji, to be essayed by the veteran actor Satish Kaushik in the movie. Sharing the poster of the same, Kangana wrote, “Last but not the least Presenting the powerhouse of talent Satish Kaushik as Jagjivan Ram in Emergency, popularly known as Babuji, he was one of the most revered politicians in the Indian political history. (sic)." Well, as mentioned Satish is the last actor to join the ensemble cast including Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Chaudhary, and Milind Soman.

Satish also took to his official Instagram handle and shared his first look. And alongside wrote, "Honoured to essay the role of Jagjivan Ram, also known as Babuji, the most compassionate and the crusader of social justice in Kangana Ranaut directorial Emergency (sic)." Well as soon as his first look surfaced, the Twitterati are surprised by the striking resemblance of Satish to the late politician. A section of people lauded Kangana’s selection of the cast member and called her ‘team player’ bringing the talented people together.

One of the Twitter users pointed out, “During #Thalaivii promotion #KanganaRanaut thanked Vijay sir for setting an example for creative partnership between actor and director. Now we all can see she's bringing all talents together and working collaboratively. Meanwhile, the upcoming film Emergency is a political period drama based on the state emergency imposed by then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi from 1975 to 1977. Kangana plays the titular character of Indira Gandhi in the film. She is also solely directing and co-producing the film with Renu Pitti. And Ritesh Shah has written the screenplay and dialogues of the movie.
