Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani Trailer: Ranveer and Alia switch families in KJo’s fun dramedy; netizens predict a hit

The teaser of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani received a big thumbs up from fans. It had romance, drama and chiffon sarees in the snow that we all secretly love. The teaser gave us a brief look at Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt’s avatars as Rocky and Rani. But the trailer has given us a better understanding of their characters in the much awaited film. Let us tell you in the beginning itself– Ranveer shines as the star of the show, with his hilarious and perfect portrayal of Rocky. He has literally breathed life into the role. His raw performance reminds us quite a lot of his debut film Band Baaja Baaraat.

The trailer begins with a car crash and a massive argument where Alia aka Rani’s outburst reminds us of Gully Boy’s Safeena. It reels you right in. Up next we get a glimpse of Rocky and Rani’s very first interaction. They eventually fall in love, with Rocky tickling our funny bone along the way thanks to his antics. But their vastly different families create issues in this ‘prem kahani’. While Rani belongs to a family of intellectuals, Rocky and his relatives are filthy rich but have different values. Both are right in their own ways. But how do Rocky and Rani get their families to agree? Well, they make a switch!

Yes, you read that right. Ranveer and Alia switch their families. While Rocky moves in with the Chatterjees, Rani tries to keep up with the Randhawas. We also get a tiny glimpse of Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi, which we feel should have been longer! But all in all, this trailer gave us enough drama, romance and even comedy to keep us hooked till the end. Even netizens are impressed.
