Lock Upp runner up Payal Rohatgi reacts to being considered badass by Ekta Kapoor and Kangana Ranaut

When Kangana Ranaut was announced as the host of Ekta Kapoor’s reality show Lock Upp , audiences knew the contestants will be in for a rollercoaster ride. Every judgment day the actress interacted with the kaidis and while she slammed some for their behavior, the ones who did well earned her praise. But the most dhamaakedaar arguments were between Kangana and prisoner Payal Rohatgi . During one episode, the actress had even called the latter ‘annoying, irritating and unpleasant’. However, over her journey Payal evolved and even Kangana lauded her for being badass.

In a chat with ETimes post the show, Payal opened up about Kangana and Ekta. She shared, “I am very thankful to both the ladies Kangana and Ekta who have made a mark for themselves. They both are Padma Shri winners and have done well in their craft. Kangana has won 4 National awards. When they thought I was badass I took it as a compliment. I was coming on a show after 4 years on a reality show where I was cut off from family, so there are times when you start questioning yourself if you were going right.”

She went on to add, “I am happy they supported me in any way they could. They are strong women and women need to stand by other women in a male dominated world.” While Payal lost the trophy to comedian Munawar Faruqui, she won many hearts and emerged as the runner up of the show.
