    After emerging as the winner of Ekta Kapoor’s reality show Lock Upp hosted by Kangana Ranaut, comedian Munawar Faruqui returned home with the trophy in a swanky car.

    Even before the badass grand finale of Lock Upp was shot, netizens had already declared stand-up comic Munawar Faruqui as the winner of Ekta Kapoor ’s reality show. He won hearts of the audiences, emerged as one of the most real contestants and even left host and Bollywood ’s Queen Kangana Ranaut impressed. So it was obviously a reason for celebration for the audience when the actress handed the gorgeous trophy of Lock Upp season 1 to Munawar.

    Well, a few days ago ahead of the grand finale, Munawar had shared a clip featuring some of the best moments of his journey in the show along with the message: “Trophy toh Dongri hi aaegi.” His prediction came true when he returned to his home in Dongri in a swanky BMW car with fans running around him with joy. Munawar came out of the sun roof and waved at his fans. But the highlight was when he took out the trophy and the crowds went crazy.

    In a chat with Indian Express post his win, Munawar shared that he was speechless and felt overwhelmed with emotions. He was quoted saying, “Every one of us worked hard on the show but to get the fruits of your labour is very special. A nd the most important thing is that this is not just my trophy, there have been millions of people who voted for me.”

    Well, now that Lock Upp has come to an end, buzz suggests that Munawar will next be seen on the 12th season of action king Rohit Shetty ’s stunt reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi . Let’s wait and watch what happens!
