For Akshay Kumar , The Kapil Sharma Show seems to have become a second home. The actor who is frequently seen gracing the show will once again be making an appearance with the cast of his film Bachchhan Paandey for a Holi special episode.

Kapil Sharma asked the leading lady of Bachchhan Paandey Kriti Sanon about her mother who frequently takes a stand for her on social media against the trolls. While Kriti said that her mother is the most unfiltered person she knows, Akshay also shared an anecdote about his father who used watch his films in a cinema hall multiple time and even take his friends along.

"Parents are like that only and I believe they should be like that! Whenever my films would be released, my father would see the film at least 14 to 15 times. Then sometimes, he used to randomly ask his friend, 'Aur, Kya kar raha hein?.. koi nai? Chal aa picture dekhta hein.' (What's going on? Let's go and watch a movie) He would himself buy the tickets, have snacks during the intervals and while watching the film, he would tap his friend's shoulder and say, 'that's my son',” Akshay said on the show.

"So, that's what daddies and mummies are like and so, this is not astonishing that Kriti's mother fights for her. All mothers are like that," he added.

Bachchhan Paandey is Akshay’s next big release after Sooryavanshi last year which has been the biggest hit post pandemic.

Akshay plays a gangster in the action comedy Bachchhan Paandey and was accompanied on The Kapil Sharma show with director Farhad Samji , and co-star Arshad Warsi and Jacqueline Fernandez apart from Kriti. The film arrives in cinemas on Holi, 18 March 2022.
