Shawn Levy has been announced as the director for the upcoming film, stepping into the role previously held by David Leitch, who cited scheduling conflicts as his reason for not returning for the third installment.

Principal photography commenced in May 2023 but was subsequently halted due to the SAG and writer's strikes. Filming resumed in November 2023, and in January 2024, Reynolds revealed that filming had concluded.
