BTS, the group made up of seven men — Kim Namjoon, Kim Seokjin, Min Yoongi, Jung Hoseok, Park Jimin, Kim Taehyung, and Jeon Jungkook — are known for their versatile songs, dancing, and the messages they share through their music. Their songs are also used in various places, whether it’s in pubs for dancing, at karaoke, or even in the gym for a good workout.

However, did you know that some of the songs from this global sensation can also be used to save lives? The American Heart Association (AHA) from Ohio, particularly on their social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), shared three BTS songs, namely "Dynamite," "Spring Day," and "Boy with Luv" ft. Halsey, that can be used for "Hands-Only CPR."

With their "Be the Beat Hands-Only CPR" programs, AHA is training the next generation of heart defenders. This program offers free resources to support the establishment and continuation of community-based Hands-Only CPR and AED training programs, ensuring that at least one member of each family is proficient in this life-saving technique.

To teach Americans how to practice Hands-Only CPR, the American Heart Association partnered with the Elevance Health Foundation. The beats per minute of every song on their "Don't Drop the Beat" playlist and Elevance Health Foundation Station fall between 100 and 120, which is the range at which compressions should be performed during CPR.

On X, while sharing about "Dynamite," they wrote, "Set the night alight, ARMY! 'Dynamite' has the right tempo for performing Hands-Only CPR. If you see a teen or adult collapse, call 911, then push hard & fast in the center of the chest. #NationofLifesavers #AANHPIHeritageMonth @bts_bighit."

For "Spring Day," they wrote, "Hey BTS ARMY! Join our #NationofLifesavers by learning the 2 steps to saving a life with Hands-Only CPR. If a teen or adult collapses, call 911, then push hard & fast in the center of the chest to the beat of 'Spring Day.' #NationofLifesavers #AANHPIHeritageMonth @bts_bighit."

For "Boy with Luv," they wrote, "Oh my, my, my. 'Boy with Luv' by @bts_bighit feat. @halsey could help you save a life with Hands-Only CPR. Join the #NationofLifesavers by learning the 2 easy steps: If a teen or adult collapses, call 911, then push hard & fast in the center of the chest."

    Where is BTS?

Right now, all seven members of BTS are serving their mandatory time in the military in South Korea. After SUGA's operation, he joined as a social service worker, while Jin and J-Hope are serving as drill instructors at military camps.

V has been assigned to the ROK II Corps, while RM is stationed at the 15th Infantry Division. According to reports, Jimin and Jungkook are currently serving in the 5th Infantry Division. Jin and J-Hope are expected to finish their duty this year, and the group is anticipated to reunite by June 2025.
