Since the last few days, the internet is busy buzzing with two names viz., Janhvi Kapoor and Kartik Aaryan. Janhvi Kapoor has been in the news for not just her upcoming film Mr And Mrs Mahi, but also the strategies she has been adopting to promote the film. On the other hand, Kartik Aaryan has made it to the ‘trending’ list because of the stunning physical transformation that he has undergone for his upcoming film Chandu Champion.
For all those who were wondering to see these two actors together in one frame on the silver screen, let us remind you that they both had been signed up for Dostana 2, the sequel of the film Dostana, which starred Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham. The said film was being directed by Collin D’Cunha and starred Janhvi Kapoor, Lakshya Lalwani and Kartik Aaryan.
But, after a few days, the news about Kartik Aaryan being no longer a part of the film really shocked everyone. When asked about the reason, everyone associated with the film was seemingly tight-lipped about it.
In a recent interview with The Lallantop, Janhvi Kapoor was present as she was promoting her next film Mr And Mrs Mahi. In the said interview, when she was asked about the film Dostana 2, she replied that she had shot for the film for 30-35 days and felt the shoot was going well. She added that, even though she felt that the shoot was going very well, she doesn’t know why the film was shelved. She even added that, since they had begun the shooting before Covid, but, because of the pandemic, there was a delay of over one-and-a-half years.
And when asked about the rumours surrounding the altercation between Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar, Janhvi Kapoor said that she does not think that such a thing happened and that work happens to be extremely important to both of them. In the same breath, Janhvi Kapoor added, “Unke beech kya hua kya nahi hua, you should ask them about it” (Whatever happened between them, you should ask them about it).
