'Feel so old now': Fans react to Aamir Khan reuniting with his Taare Zameen Par co-star Darsheel Safary after 16 years

    We just went on a trip down memory lane as Darsheel Safary shared a glimpse of his reunion with superstar Aamir Khan. The two starred together in the 2007 film Taare Zameen Par when Darsheel was just 9-years-old. Now, 16 years later, the iconic onscreen mentor-student duo is all set to come together for a project.

    Darsheel took to his social media handle to share a collage of a still from Taare Zameen Par from the final climax scene wherein Aamir’s character Ram Shankar makes a painting of his dyslexic student Ishan Awasthi played by Darsheel. Below the still, he shared a picture from his recent collaboration with the megastar. We can see Aamir in a mysterious old-age avatar with heavy white hair and a beard. He can be seen wearing a black tee along with a dark blue blazer jacket. Darsheel can also be seen in a black tee and a blue winter jacket. The duo can be seen looking at each other intensely.     Safary captioned the same stating, “BOOOMMMMM! 16 years later, and we're together again, Emotional? Yeah, a little. Charged? ABSOLUTELY. All the love to my favorite mentor for the experience. Watch this space for the Big reveal.” No sooner was the post shared than fans also started reacting to the same. One of the fans stated, “NO WAY I FEEL SO OLD NOW.” A netizen added, “My phone exploded.” A user said, “16 saal ho gaye Tare zameen par ko. Aisa lag rha ki kuch saal pehle ki baat hai.” Another user said, “This will be the best and most exciting reunion.” Many netizens wondered whether Aamir and Darsheel are reuniting for Sitaare Zameen Par.

    Talking about Sitaare Zameen Par, the movie is reportedly touted as a sequel to Taare Zameen Par. The movie also stars Genelia D’souza in the lead role and is directed by RS Prasanna. Aamir will also be producing Lahore: 1947 which stars Sunny Deol and Ali Fazal in the lead role.
