Samrat Prithviraj box office day 6: Akshay Kumar starrer continues its dismal performance, occupancy deteriorates

    Akshay Kumar’s Samrat Prithviraj was released with a lot of fanfare at the box office on June 3 but it seems that the movie is unable to leave an impact on the audience’s hearts. On its sixth day, the period drama continued its dismal performance at the box office.

    Akshay Kumar ’s Samrat Prithviraj was released with a lot of fanfare at the box office on June 3 but it seems that the movie is unable to leave an impact on the audience’s hearts. On its sixth day, the period drama continued its dismal performance at the box office. The movie saw a huge deterioration in its box office performance on June 8.

    According to the early reports, Samrat Prithviraj has just managed to earn around Rs 52 crore at the box office. The result is extremely insufficient, given the movie’s budget of Rs 300 crore. Not only this but some of the shows of the movies were slashed down due to the occupancy hitting a new low in the morning hours.

    Samrat Prithviraj had also witnessed a slow start at the box office on its opening day, minting only Rs 10.70 crore. Now on its sixth day (June 8), the period drama managed to earn only Rs 3.80 crore at the box office. The total collections of the movie now stand at only Rs 52.45 crore. The Akshay Kumar starrer also had its Hindi occupancy of 9.78 percent on its sixth day.

    Talking about Samrat Prithviraj’s sluggish day 5 box office collection which had stood at only Rs 48.65 crore, trade analyst Taran Adarsh has said, “#SamratPrithviraj continues its downward trend... Trending is extremely weak, there's zilch hope of covering lost ground on weekdays or next weekend...Fri 10.70 cr, Sat 12.60 cr, Sun 16.10 cr, Mon 5 cr, Tue 4.25 cr. Total: ₹ 48.65 cr. #India biz.”

    Talking about Samrat Prithviraj, the movie also stars Manushi Chhillar , Sonu Sood, Sanjay Dutta, and Manav Vij in the lead roles. It has been directed by Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi. The movie is based on the life of the courageous King Prithviraj Chauhan who fought against the merciless invader Muhammad of Ghor.
