Runway 34 Trailer: Ajay Devgn, Amitabh Bachchan and Rakul ensure a thrilling ride with an intriguing plot

After teasing fans with back to back first look posters and an intriguing promo, makers of Runway 34 have now dropped the trailer of the much awaited film. Starring a supremely talented cast of actors like Ajay Devgn , Amitabh Bachchan , Angira Dhar, Rakul Preet Singh and Boman Irani , the film is based on a 2015 incident when pilots of a flight from Doha to Kochi made a ‘blind landing’ in Thiruvananthapuram. While Ajay is portraying the role of Captain Vikrant Khanna in his directorial, Big B will be seen as Narayan Vedant who is out to uncover the truth.

The exciting trailer begins with Captain Vikrant Khanna putting a cigarette in his mouth in the washroom of an airport, only to be told that he is not allowed to smoke there. He arrogantly replies, “Jalaya toh nahi naa.” He is then greeted by his chirpy co-pilot Rakul before they board the flight. The trailer then changes gears and gives us the glimpse of what looks like a crash but isn’t. Simultaneously it follows the aftermath of the incident in a court, where Narayan Vedant questions Ajay and Rakul’s characters about what exactly happened after the flight took off.

While Ajay looks convincing as an arrogant pilot, Rakul looks promising in her role. But it is Big B who steals the show with his gritty performance as Narayan Vedant. His personality fits in perfectly with the character and assures fans that he will, under all circumstances, unravel the truth. Boman Irani, on the other hand, is featured in a never seen before avatar. His grave expressions and the scene where he wraps his hand around a fish will give you chills. Two things that fans can undoubtedly expect from this film after watching the trailer are great performances and an intriguing story.

We can’t wait for Runway 34 to arrive in theatres on the occasion of Eid, on 29thApril.
