Bigg Boss 16: Munawar Faruqui is interested, but makers are doubtful; will he enter as a wildcard now?
After winning Kangana Ranaut’s Lock Upp, Munawar Faruqui was reportedly going to be the first confirmed contestant of Bigg Boss 16. But makers are now unsure about his participation.
If there is one celebrity who touched heights with his participation in Kangana Ranaut’s reality show Lock Upp, it is stand-up comic and winner Munawar Faruqui . Fans got a chance to get to know him up close and personal, and connected with him on a higher level. When he lifted the trophy and bagged the title of the celebrity prison game show, it was a win for his millions of fans as well. While reports suggested that he would next compete on Rohit Shetty’s stunt reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi 12, things sadly did not work out.
However, it was reported that Munawar will participate in another reality show. Buzz suggested that he was the first confirmed contestant of Salman Khan ’s controversial show Bigg Boss season 16. Fans were ecstatic to hear this. But a viral tweet has now revealed that while Munawar is still very much interested in being a contestant, makers are unsure about his participation. The tweet read: “Munawar Faruqui is not confirmed for Bigg Boss 16 .” It further said, “Munuwar is still interested however the channel is doubtful to cast him Day1, maybe later as wildcard.”
A report shared by Telly Chakkar suggests that makers are having second thoughts after approaching Munawar for the reality show, because of his recent cancelled shows. However, makers might think it over and then maybe offer him the chance to enter the BB house as a wild card contestant. Going by his massive fan following, it wouldn’t come as a surprise if he wins the reality show despite being a wildcard.
Other celebrities who will reportedly be contestants on Bigg Boss 16 are actors Shivin Narang, Kanika Mann, Gia Manek, Bigg Boss OTT star Ridhima Pandit and digital content creator Faisal Shaikh. Do you hope to see Munawar as a competitor on Salman’s show this year?
