All girl gang kicking male ass not impressive, lacks credibility despite good intentions

Verdict - See only for the attempt of two glamour girls in doing serious roles, nothing else
What can you say about an all girl gang led by Madhuri Dikshit ( of the dhak dhak moves and 1000 watt smile) which is all out to kick the asses of dowry demanding men,and bribe demanding babus not to speak of castrating rapist sons of politicians and still finding time to dance and make merry?
Also what can you say about an evil, scheming, cold, calculating, venomous female politician Juhi Chawla ( of the comic Kurkure ads and the sweet sweet girl of QSQT) who has no qualms on doing anything to meet her objectives? This includes making her adversaries crawl under the legs of her female assistant to humiliate them when not able to eliminate them.
Nothing much except that it is casting coup of sorts which really does not work to the fullest, probably because the movie lacks the seriousness which the script deserves and it does not quite measure up . All issues related to oppressed women are touched upon like girl child education, domestic violence, dowry demand, rape, corruption, hoarding of grains. The intentions of director Soumik Sen are honourable but the end results appear artificial and lacking in credibility.
Full marks to both Madhuri Dikshit and Juhi Chawla for attempting roles entirely out of sync with their established image. Both succeed to some extent but to be fair Juhi does a better job as the scheming politician with her lop sided evil smirk and matching facial contortions. Her impressive scene is the one in which she asks her assistant " Rape ka kya rate chal raha hai ?"regarding the compensation.
Madhuri Dikshit struggles to enact the aggressive lathi wielding crusader and just about appears convincing in some scenes. She may have done better with a more established director and with a stronger script/ dialogue. "Rod is God" she says when asked about her using the lathi. She delivers her lines well but her " ek do teen " image works against her and there is a reference to this in a scene also.
The songs and dances are not impressive. The music is not up to the mark and does not help to raise the commercial value of the film.
